Not many people can be called a legend in their lifetime, but given the amazing career Doug has had, he is certainly worthy of the title. SFMC tries to take advantage of every rare opportunity to present Doug in his hometown of Northern New Mexico because his travel schedule is so rigorous. The man who has traveled the world more times than most of us have had birthdays is back in town and we’re taking the opportunity to bring him to UNIT B once again. Tenor Saxophone Titan Doug Lawrence has an unmistakable Hard Bop style, while at the same time the ability to deliver a ballad that will bring tears to your eyes. Reminiscent of Gene Ammons and Dexter Gordon with the sensitivity of Stan Getz, New Mexico’s multi Grammy award winner has garnered a reputation as “One of the best In Jazz today”. It’s no wonder his playing has been featured with Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn, Nancy Wilson, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Wild Bill Davis and many more. With a list of credits too numerous to mention, the only way to appreciate this jazz master’s mega talent is to come out and hear him. As someone much wiser than I once said, “let the music speak for itself.”
On Saturday March 21st, Doug Lawrence will appear in concert at UNIT B, along with Bob Fox – Piano, Terry Burns – Bass, and John Trentacosta – Drums. Doug’s concerts always sell out quickly, so we recommend that you get your tickets early.

*VIP Tickets provide access to a reserved seating area on a raised platform with an unblocked view of the stage. This section is slightly removed from the main crowd, offering a more private and comfortable experience. VIP seating is very limited — only a few seats are available.
Unit B is a dinner-theater style dining venue featuring high caliber live performances. The restaurant typically opens for dinner, wine and craft cocktails at 5:30pm. Food and drinks will be available until the kitchen closes approximately 1 – 2 hours after the show starts.
We will verify your ticket purchase by name when you arrive. There is no need to print tickets in advance. Your show ticket entitles you to a seat in the space, which will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis.
DINNER RESERVATIONS: To ensure that Unit B is able to accommodate your whole party together, or to request a specific seating location, please make a table reservation in addition to your ticket purchase. To make a reservation, please fill out this form.
Please note that while Unit B does their best to accommodate specific seating requests, depending on the size of your party and the order in which your reservation is received, they may not always be able to do so. For groups of 5 or more, a table reservation is required in order to ensure you will sit together. Please note you may be seated at a table with an unrelated party.
