Saxophone Icon Stan Getz had one of the most identifiable sounds on the tenor saxophone in jazz history. From his warm breathy Bossa Nova hits of the sixties to his explosive Bop playing in later years, one can always identify him in the 1st two bars. With his distinctive sound and style he left an indelible mark on modern jazz to the point where he is credited with a whole school of followers.
One such disciple is Dave Anderson, a local icon who has graced the bandstands of every Santa Fe venue for decades. Dave was enamored by Getz’s light airy sound and beautifully crafted melodies upon first hearing Stan’s 1962 hit Desafinado. From that captivating experience, and throughout his own big band and small group career, Dave Anderson has spent his musical lifetime exploring and cultivating the sounds of his greatest influence, Stan Getz.
Come on out, sit back, close your eyes and relive the Stan Getz experience at UNIT B Santa Fe. “You’re gonna love this one”.
For this concert, Dave will be accompanied by Bob Fox- Piano, Terry Burns – Bass, and John Trentacosta – Drums.

Unit B is a dinner-theater style dining venue featuring high caliber live performances. The restaurant typically opens for dinner, wine and craft cocktails at 5:30pm. Food and drinks will be available until the kitchen closes approximately 1 – 2 hours after the show starts.
We will verify your ticket purchase by name when you arrive. There is no need to print tickets in advance. Your show ticket entitles you to a seat in the space, which will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis.
DINNER RESERVATIONS: To ensure that Unit B is able to accommodate your whole party together, or to request a specific seating location, please make a table reservation in addition to your ticket purchase. To make a reservation, please fill out this form.
Please note that while Unit B does their best to accommodate specific seating requests, depending on the size of your party and the order in which your reservation is received, they may not always be able to do so. For groups of 5 or more, a table reservation is required in order to ensure you will sit together. Please note you may be seated at a table with an unrelated party.
