Trumpeter Michael Morreale pays tribute to Miles Davis
Santa Fe’s favorite jazz trumpet player Michael Morreale is back with his special celebration of the iconic “Miles Davis”. Truthfully folks, I can’t think of anyone who can do this better than Michael. Why, because he has immersed himself in and absorbed so much of the musical nuance that was Miles. I have known Michael Morreale for more than fifty years and been fortunate enough to be part of the many tribute concerts he has performed honoring the great Miles Davis. In 2016, he recorded a 2 CD album called “Miles Song”, The Music of Miles Davis”, a bold undertaking that any rational trumpet player would have to do some soul searching in order to even take that idea seriously. The result, an amazing tribute to the master. His sound, his ideas and so much of Mile’s articulation, that if you sat back and closed your eyes, you’d think you were in the room with Miles Davis. So come on out, sit back, close your eyes and let yourself be transformed back to your favorite Miles Davis era, from “Birth of The Cool” through the 50’s, 60’s and even some crossover music that Miles recorded in the 1970’s.
This will be a truly unique concert. An experience that you will long treasure as one of the best you have ever heard.
*VIP Tickets are only sold in multiples of 2 and provide access to a reserved seating area on a raised platform with an unblocked view of the stage. This section is slightly removed from the main crowd, offering a more private and comfortable experience. VIP seating is very limited — only a few seats are available.
Unit B is a dinner-theater style dining venue featuring high caliber live performances. The restaurant typically opens for dinner, wine and craft cocktails at 5:30pm. Food and drinks will be available until the kitchen closes approximately 1 – 2 hours after the show starts.
We will verify your ticket purchase by name when you arrive. There is no need to print tickets in advance. Your show ticket entitles you to a seat in the space, which will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis.
DINNER RESERVATIONS: To ensure that Unit B is able to accommodate your whole party together, or to request a specific seating location, please make a table reservation in addition to your ticket purchase. To make a reservation, please fill out this form.
Please note that while Unit B does their best to accommodate specific seating requests, depending on the size of your party and the order in which your reservation is received, they may not always be able to do so. For groups of 5 or more, a table reservation is required in order to ensure you will sit together. Please note you may be seated at a table with an unrelated party.
